If you’re in the market for Christmas presents for an auto enthusiast, it might seem difficult to find presents that go under the tree. Here are some of the best [manageable] Christmas gifts to buy for the car lover in your family.
A dash cam can be a good safety tool on the road, especially in the case of an accident, but it can also be something fun to look back on later.
Auto Tool Set
Any auto enthusiast would love to have all their tools readily available at their disposal on the go. A toolset that can be folded up and packed in the car is a good convenient choice.
Having a hand-sized vacuum to keep in one’s vehicle prevents the cabin from accumulating dirt and crumbs. Plus, your car lover can just keep it in the car instead of having to get the vacuum out of the house for an occasional cleaning.
What’s the easiest way to keep the interior of a car clean? Have a place to put all your trash. Give your auto enthusiast an official “drive bin” to toss their trash.
If you’re thinking of getting something bigger that doesn’t fit in your house (just the garage), come talk to us at Mercedes-Benz of Centerville in Centerville, OH.
Year after year, loved ones receive the potentially devastating diagnosis of breast cancer. This year, you can do your part in helping us fight breast cancer by attending the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Dayton, OH. The walk will take place on October 20th, so there’s still time to join forces with us to fundraise and fight cancer.
We’ve Raised Over $23,000 So Far
Mercedes-Benz Centerville and our auto group have joined in the fight against breast cancer for the past 8 years. For 2017, our auto group was the #1 team, and we raised $23,000 for the American Cancer Society and $80,000 for The Norma Ross Foundation (which is named after the wife of Bob Ross, the founder of our auto group). We currently hold the #1 spot for 2018 this year as well.
Sloane Stephens, the 25-year-old American tennis phenom, has signed on with Mercedes-Benz to be a Global Brand Ambassador. From her win at the 2017 US Open, which is sponsored by Mercedes-Benz, to her second-place finish at the French Open, Stephens has proven herself a composed and stylish force to be reckoned with – much like Mercedes-Benz.
Stephens is an all-court player whose poised, calm, and collected style has catapulted her to the top of the tennis world. Sloane is excited to join forces with Mercedes-Benz, saying, “I am absolutely honored to be a part of the Mercedes-Benz global family. Mercedes-Benz is constantly raising the bar in the automotive industry, which is similar to how I approach tennis. We both want to perform at the highest level and be the best in the world.”
Best Luxury Automobile Manufacturer
Just how Mercedes-Benz is already the best luxury automobile manufacturer in the world, Stephens is on a similar meteoric rise. Ranking third in the world and holding the reputation of being just the fifth unseeded woman to win a Major, she joins other superstar athletes such as Roger Federer and Rickie Fowler as ambassadors to the iconic auto company.
For her partnership, Mercedes-Benz will gift Stephens with a 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE 63 S Coupe, which couples a high-performance biturbo engine with the everyday practicality of an SUV. If you want to add one to your personal fleet, contact us at Mercedes-Benz of Centerville, OH for more information.

Summer brain drain is a real issue with students, but sometimes it even affects drivers on the road when faced with traffic and busses. Follow these back-to-school driving tips as we shift into August and school swings back into session.
Slow Down & Come to Full Stops
Defensive driving is key during back-to-school season, so make sure to go the speed limit and come to complete stops, especially when you are driving in neighborhoods or a school zone.
Watch For Bikes
Give children on bikes at least three feet of space on the road. They are much less experienced than their adult counterparts and, as a result, are unpredictable. Likewise, if your child rides a bicycle to school, make sure they wear a helmet.
Be Cautious In Reverse
Drivers should always exercise caution when backing up, but when little ones are around, you should take extra care to check all your mirrors, look behind you, and back up slowly.
Have a teen with a driver’s license? Impart these back-to-school driving tips to them and encourage them to drive defensively, too. It will help keep them and others safe on the road. If you need a new ride to put up with the back and forth between school and home, contact the team at Mercedes-Benz of Centerville.

For the past few months, high-end automakers have been announcing new luxury vehicle subscription services that give more customers access to their high-end, head-turning vehicles. Mercedes has just tossed its hat into the ring, announcing that it too will begin offering a subscription service, which includes rental and concierge services. The service will be called Mercedes-Benz Collection, and a pilot program will launch this June in Nashville and Philadelphia.
For a monthly fee, luxury vehicle subscription services give drivers a fun, smart way to experience and enjoy luxury vehicles. Mercedes has not announced any specifics about their service, in terms of price or which exact vehicles will be available. However, they did say that there would be “multiple subscription tiers,” with a “broad array of Mercedes-Benz offerings including SUV, sedan, coupe, cabriolet, roadster, and wagon models.”
You’ll essentially have access to Mercedes-Benz’s most popular and stylish vehicles whenever you’d like: just request a vehicle via an app and a Mercedes staff member will deliver the vehicle to you where and when you choose. The monthly fee will conveniently cover a range of necessary services, including maintenance, insurance, 24/7 roadside assistance, and give you unlimited mileage. With such a service, you won’t have to worry about the bothersome aspects of car ownership; rather, you’ll be fully taken care of and have access to the perfect vehicle whenever you need one.
We have no information yet about when or if this service is coming to Mercedes-Benz of Centerville. If it does, we’ll make sure you’re the first to know.
Routine vehicle maintenance will keep your Mercedes-Benz car or SUV on the road for a long time; neglecting this maintenance, on the other hand, is the fastest route to the junkyard. But why is routine vehicle maintenance so important?
Changing your oil regularly not only keeps your Mercedes driving as efficiently as it was designed to, it also keeps your engine from overheating. Oil provides lubrication for dozens of crucial engine parts and removes dirt and sludge from the engine.
Your front and rear tires do not wear evenly. By rotating them every time you change your oil, you will ensure that, over time, they wear the same.
By servicing your vehicle at a dealership like Mercedes-Benz of Centerville, you can make sure a certified technician is inspecting more than just your oil filter and tires. Our technicians perform all kinds of maintenance and will recommend when you need each type done, so you don’t have to keep track of it on your own. Some of the components our mechanics inspect at each visit include the brakes, the battery, the engine, the transmission, the tire pressure, and the fluid levels. They’ll be able to tell you if it’s time for new tires, new windshield wipers, new spark plugs, or a new air filter.
For a team of technicians ready to keep your car on the road for all the miles ahead, come see us at Mercedes-Benz of Centerville.
One of the things we love about our dealership Mercedes-Benz of Centerville is its prime location for so many things to do in Dayton and the surrounding southwest Ohio area, especially in the spring and summer. Here are some of our favorite ways to get outside in southwest Ohio:
Spend an afternoon hiking in Yellow Springs at Glen Helen. You can see the actual springs that gave the city its name and then spend the day walking around the artsy downtown area.
Stroll through the gardens at Cox Arboretum for views of beautiful flowers and trees. Young ones will especially like the Butterfly House, Tree Tower, and children’s maze.
Whether you’re ready to turn pro or have never picked up a club in your life, Topgolf is a fun experience in West Chester. While there is not much walking involved, you’ll be able to enjoy the outdoors even in the winter with heated decks and food and drinks delivered straight to your golf tee.
About 45 minutes south of Dayton is one of Ohio’s two major amusement parks, Kings Island. Spend the day outside enjoying roller coasters like The Beast, Banshee, Firehawk, and Mystic Timbers, or head over to the water park right next door.
If you need a vehicle to get you to these exiting places, come see us at Mercedes-Benz of Centerville for a great vehicle for adventure.
If you live in the Dayton area, you’ll be hard-pressed to spend a St. Patrick’s Day without someone mentioning an nearby celebration. There are plenty of traditions on St. Patrick’s Day in Dayton. Check out these local events and plan your St. Patrick’s Day now for a great time.
On March 10, 2018, you can get in your exercise for a good cause at this annual event. All proceeds to go local charities, including the Alzheimer’s Association, United Rehabilitation Services, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and South Community.
St. Patrick’s Day isn’t complete without some exceptional celtic music. You can see Dulahan, one of Dayton’s finest Celtic bands, perform their annual St. Patrick’s Day set at Flanagan’s Pub this year on March 17 from 4 to 7:30 p.m.
For the team at Mercedes-Benz of Centerville, the Dublin Pub is the go-to spot for fish and chips all year long. This pub always has a countdown to St. Patrick’s Day running, so it’s no surprise that their annual St. Patty’s Day celebration is a bash you don’t want to miss. Come early for breakfast and Guinness, stay late for live music.
